Resident & Guest QR Service Manual

Complete guide to unit/room QR code intake, emergency hazard intercepts, access permission windows, human escalation, and resident verification.

1. Unit & Room QR Code Intake

Every apartment, villa, serviced apartment, or boutique hotel room in UnitVO has a scoped unit token. Scanning the QR code or opening Resident & Guest Service Desk loads the verified unit context (building, floor, unit number, operating mode, and emergency contacts) via context.get_service_context.

2. Pre-LLM Emergency & Life-Safety Intercept

Life-Safety First: UnitVO evaluates every incoming message against deterministic hazard rules before invoking any LLM or normal maintenance queue.

If a message reports any of the five life-safety signals (fire_or_smoke, suspected_gas, water_near_electricity, person_trapped, or other_immediate_danger), UnitVO immediately:

  • Creates a critical safety incident card with emergency phone numbers (UAE Civil Defense 997, Police 999, Ambulance 998, and the building duty desk).
  • Bypasses standard maintenance triage so the resident receives immediate life-safety instructions.

3. Setting Entry & Access Permission Windows

For in-unit maintenance or housekeeping, residents control when staff may enter using operations.set_access_window:

  • Presence Required: Technician may only enter during the resident's specified UTC window while the resident is home.
  • Keycard / Master Key Permitted: Building technician may enter during the authorized window using logged master-key access.

4. Resident Verification Before Final Closure

When a technician marks an item resolved, UnitVO transitions the request to resolved_pending_confirmation if resident confirmation or supervisor inspection is required. A resident who reports that the issue still persists automatically reopens the work order to in_progress.
